ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER
PT Meares Soputan Mining and PT Tambang Tondano Nusajaya operate the Toka Tindung Gold Project in North Sulawesi – Indonesia . The parent Company Archipelago Resources plc is an AIM listed Company, which is developing rapidly with projects located within Indonesian, Vietnam and the Philippines . Construction is underway at the Toka Tindung Gold Project and is scheduled for completion in 2007. An opportunity exists at Toka Tindung for an individual possessing a broad skills base developed over a minimum of 10 years. You need to be highly motivated towards achieving project objectives and KPI's, during both Construction and Operational phases within a pro-active management team. The position is an opportunity to contribute towards the successful establishment and operation of the project and Company. The successful applicant will develop and manage the Environmental Department at the Toka Tindung Gold Project, reporting to the Senior Project Development Manager. Principal Responsibilities:
• Development of the Environmental Department to meet the challenges presented by construction and mine development;
• Implementation and continuously improve the Environmental Management Plan in accordance with approved AMDAL, Indonesian statutory regulations, equator principles and corporate guidelines;
• Reporting to Project Management and Corporate representatives;
• Progressive rehabilitation of mine site areas in a timely manner during and following the construction or processing activities;
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with government departments, local authorities and the local community;
• Minimise impacts on the environment and ensure the areas impacted by the Toka Tindung Gold Project will be maintained in a sustainable condition.

PROJECT MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION

Construction is underway at the Toka Tindung Gold Project and is scheduled for completion in 2007. Core personnel within a high quality construction team are present at the site and will develop the project under an owner management approach. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a track record of achievement in the role of Project Manager - Construction, with at least 15 years experience in civil or mining construction. The Project Manager-Construction must possess well developed communication and negotiation skills whilst ensuring the construction team are meeting required performance levels. The role will report to the Senior Project Development Manager.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Ensuring Construction of the project advances in accordance with project schedules, approved capital, QA/QC compliance criteria and Company objectives;
• Development and management of the team responsible for the design, procurement, logistics and construction of the process plant, associated infrastructure, commissioning and completion;
• Management of team responsible for civil earthworks and mine areas predevelopment;
• Ensuring safety and environmental standards are met in accordance with Management Plans, Indonesian regulations and Company directives;
• Achieving construction KPI's and performance in accordance with Company and financier requirements.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

The Construction Manager must possess well developed communication and negotiation skills whilst ensuring the construction team are meeting required performance levels. Principal Responsibilities:
• Management of the Toka Tindung Project daily construction activities and contractor supervision;
• Ensure that the Toka Tindung Project construction is completed on time and in line with approved capital, while at all times maintaining PT MSM/TTN safety and environmental standards;
• Preparation and management of contract Scopes of Work for site-based construction, installation and in-country fabrication contracts;
• Tendering, evaluation and award of equipment and contracts;
• Coordination of inspection, expediting, transport and logistics services as required;
• Reporting to management personnel on Construction advance including cost control;
• Provide a safe and healthy working environment for all PT MSM/TTN employees, contractors and visitors by making employees responsible for working safely and encouraging others to follow site safety rules;
• At completion of construction provide PT MSM/TTN management with a Close Out report summarizing all aspects of the construction project. This report shall include a critical review of contractor and consultant performance and recommendations that can be incorporated into future construction activities.
